What is 1% For The Planet?
As of 2020, we’re officially a member organization of 1% for the Planet, an international organization that provides a way for both businesses and individuals to take responsibility to give back and support the environment. Members donate 1% (at minimum) of their annual sales, either from a specific business line or the company as a whole to environmental causes. We’ve designated our rePETe line as a direct contributor to the 1% for the Planet movement, and we’re excited that this is just another way ChicoBag and To-Go Ware can be part of the change alongside hundreds of other businesses committed to the same goals. Look for the 1% logo on all of our rePETe items, our exclusive line made exclusively from recycled materials.
Who We Donate To
ChicoBag and To-Go Ware have formed many partnerships with organizations who share our vision of helping humanity solve the social and environmental challenges ahead. Now more than ever it is imperative we work together toward common goals. We support these organizations by providing product donations, financial resources and educational materials that help them achieve their missions. Large or small, we know these organizations are outstanding and hope you do too.
The 5 Gyres Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to researching the issue of plastics in the world’s oceans, and engaging communities in systemic change.
