And if this party weren’t awesome enough, we’ve just recently received the best present ever:
ChicoBag 3-Layer Facewear has met the requirements for ASTM International’s F3502 Standard Specification for Barrier Face Coverings! Formerly known as American Society for Testing and Materials, ASTM dates back to 1898 and is now recognized for its role as one of the world's largest international organizations for developing standards on products, services, systems, and materials.
This new standard for general purpose face coverings was established in February 2021 as a way to “help the public determine the effectiveness of these products and to set a minimum requirement for some physical properties,” according to MD+DI.
As you know, ChicoBag already met EU community mask standards last fall, but this new certification means our masks are now internationally recognized as up to snuff.
The F3502 standard uses the same testing method as it does for N95 and similar industrial facewear coverings, and it separates certifications into two levels. We’re proud to share that ChicoBag was certified at a Level 1 for filtration and a Level 2 for breathability (since it has 3 layers of protection, it’s expected!)
